Miller Zell Picks Premier Woodstock Site for New Facility

Woodstock, ON, (March 11, 2013) -- An industry leader in retail space design will soon call Woodstock, Ontario home for its Retail Operations Centre. Miller Zell Inc. (www.millerzell.com) has announced a lease of 80,915 square feet (7,517 m2) at 1400 Commerce Way in the City's premier business park.

"Woodstock offers us the perfect location from which to serve all of our customers" said Doug Foley, Vice President of Business Development for Miller Zell. "Our new facility is literally located at the intersection of two of Canada's most important transportation routes, Highways 401 and 403, and in close proximity to several key US-Canada border crossings. Our company has been experiencing strong growth in the Canadian market and has outgrown our current facility. When it came time to search for new space, Woodstock was a natural choice".

Miller Zell expects to have 35 people working in its Woodstock facility when it opens in mid-March 2013. The company plans to conduct light manufacturing, assembly, warehousing, and customer service and installation coordination in its new location.
Mayor Pat Sobeski welcomed the Miller Zell announcement by saying "we are pleased to see such a unique business become part of our community. Miller Zell is a well respected company and is indicative of Woodstock's continued effort to diversify the local economy".
The Atlanta, GA based company has been helping retailers present their products and services to the public for nearly 50 years and first entered the Canadian market in 1996 to meet the needs of Walmart. Miller Zell's Canadian Head Office is based in Mississauga. Miller Zell serves a wide range of customers in the retail, hospitality, and financial services industries to name only a few. Most people come in contact with Miller Zell's work on a regular basis without ever knowing the expertise involved in creating the environment they so often see.

Miller Zell is the first tenant in the large spec building at 1400 Commerce Way built by IDI - Industrial Developments International (www.idi.com). Woodstock Development Commissioner Len Magyar said "when IDI came to Woodstock we knew they would attract quality tenants into their highly visible buildings, and that is just what they have done".
