North American Stamping Group Announces Plant Expansion

NASGWOODSTOCK, ON – December 10, 2012 - The North American Stamping Group is pleased to announce expansion plans for our automotive stamping plant located in Woodstock. The expansion will consist of 70,000 square feet of additional warehousing and manufacturing space as well as 2,500 square feet of new associate facilities and office space. The anticipated growth in the plant, facilities and equipment will amount to a significant investment into the community.

This venture is needed to support new business growth, design engineering and development of tooling for our six manufacturing locations in Canada, the United States & Mexico. We anticipate this growth will generate 50 to 60 new highly skilled jobs in production, tool & die and design. There will also be additional local jobs that will be generated by the construction project itself.  Directors commented, "This growth reflects our continued investment in our business and community. This expansion has been made possible through the support of our customers and the incredible work ethic and dedication of our associates who always find a way to get a challenging job done."

Woodstock Mayor Pat Sobeski congratulated the company by saying "the City of Woodstock is especially excited about this announcement as it is an important strategic investment by a multi-national company bringing a number of quality employment opportunities to our community. I know staff and Council have been working closely with NASG for a number of months to help secure this significant investment in Woodstock and I am very pleased to hear the project is moving forward".
